The Caños Route
In spring, with the thaw, nature awakens. The streams, springs, plants, trees, and fresh air come to life. It must be acknowledged that the Caños Route is spectacular during this time of year.
Caños de Gúdar is a pleasant walk along the Blanco River (Alfambra), but it can become a more challenging yet surprising hiking trail. The walk along the Caños is short and easy, making it perfect for children.
If you visit in summer, you can bring a swimsuit to cool off and pack a picnic for a wonderful day in nature. However, undoubtedly the best season to enjoy the splendor of the Caños is in spring when waterfalls start to appear throughout the walk. The walk begins at the river, 2 km from the town of Gúdar. Just before the road junction, you will find the turn-off to reach the river. From this point, the walk begins following the course of the river. You will pass through a area with waterfalls emerging from the mountain slope until reaching the end of the trail, where you will find a spacious area with the main waterfall of the river. The entire walk takes about 15 minutes.
